I’m currently looking for people who want to actively shape DragonTD with me. Right now, I’m specifically looking for a Balance Designer, and the role description is available in English and German below.

Balance Designer

I’m currently looking for someone to help with game balancing. I care a lot about quality and details, so I can be quite perfectionistic about how things should be done. At the same time, I’m very supportive, and working on the game is a lot of fun.

I’ll also be looking for people for other roles in the future, so unsolicited applications are very welcome as well.

Side note: Because it’s currently a donation-funded hobby project, I’m intentionally not promising any payment. However, if the project ever generates profits after covering all costs, they will of course be shared fairly within the team.

Here’s an overview of the role I’m looking to fill:

Expectations

  • Balance the combat values of towers, enemies, and wave settings.
  • Consider different player types, from casual to experienced players, and help create both easy runs and tough challenges.
  • Be willing to learn how to integrate balancing changes into the game through mods.

What I offer

  • A clear vision for the kind of game experience I want to create.
  • A good environment to experiment, learn, and try out ideas.
  • Technical setup you’ll need: dedicated GitHub repository, dedicated webspace, and a GitHub board for your planning and my tasks.
  • Besides some tasks I’ll assign to provide direction or cover what’s needed for the next versions, you’re free to implement your own ideas. If they’re good and fun to play, they’ll be added to the game.
  • If there are useful tool costs and the game receives donations, those costs will be covered first before anything else.
